The Yankees win their 27th World Series title, the South Medford football team isn't intimidated by top-ranked Sheldon, the St. Mary's volleyball squad opens postseason play Saturday, and the top-ranked SOU wrestling team opens its season with its annual Red and Black Intrasquad Dual.

Monday Night Showdowns
The Henley volleyball team knocks off Ashland in a playoff tune-up, the Phoenix football team is gearing up for its Skyline title tilt with Henley, Kyle Singler brings home a big pre-season honor, the Phillies edge the Yankees in game five of the World Series, and the Saints defeat the Falcons on Monday Night Football.

Ducks Making a Name in the NFL
