Report: Dunigan Leaving UO, Possibly to Play in Israel

EUGENE, Ore. -- Oregon basketball may be losing another player.

ESPN affiliate duckterritory.com is citing multiple sources that center Michael Dunigan is leaving the program.

But the report isn't that he's transferring, it's that he's going to Israel to play professionally.

Oregon Sports Information Director Dave Williford said the athletic department is aware of the report.

He said he was not sure when head coach Dana Altman spoke with Dunigan, since most players are away from campus at home right now.

Dunigan would not have to ask for his release, if he was going to play overseas.
