CORVALLIS, Ore. --- Mike Riley's 2010 recruiting class is smaller than usual, but Oregon State's head coach says his newest additions are "good fits".
Of the 16 players to sign National Letters of Intent Wednesday, 10 will play defense, 5 will play offense, and the last is a kicker. There are only 16 players in the newest class, because the Beavers did not graduate as many players this past season.
The class includes three 4 star recruits, including quarterback Sean Mannion out of California, who broke the state record with 582 yards passing in one game. Mannion verbally committed to OSU early and honored that committment, despite a late push from UCLA.
Local product Michael Bibbee from North Eugene High School also signed with the Beavers. At 6'3'', 225 pounds, Riley says Bibbee will play inside linebacker.
Overall, the Beavers players come from the states of Oregon, Washington, California, and one from Hawaii. Riley said he tried to recruit a player out of Oklahoma too but lost out to Arkansas.
