Faltering Economy Affects Pet Stores

Eugene, Ore.--When times are tough, it's a hard time to consider making an addition to the family such as adopting a pet. Local pet stores say its becoming harder to sell some animals to families. Experts say people aren't as willing to spend money on pet adoptions like they were this time last year and instead they're seeing a shift from people buying the traditional dog or cat to more exotic animals.
