If you are having trouble receiving Ch 9 DTV, here are some tips to try.
In the local area, within 30 miles or so of Eugene, preamps are not a good idea; they overload and cause problems, particularly, with upper UHF signals. KEZI digital is on UHF Ch 44 at the present time.
Try removing the preamp, where possible.
Try removing any splitters in your system and hook the antenna directly to your TV or Converter Box. If you then get the signal, you will likely need a amplified splitter. Line amplifiers or amplified splitters can have the same overload problem, but less likely. If you can receive analog channels and they look interfered with you likely have the problem. If the amplifier has a boost or gain control, try setting it to minimum and slowly work up in level as needed.
If you are buying an inside antenna in the local area, do not buy one with an amplifier. They are not needed on rabbit ear type antennas and can and will cause problems with UHF reception. The cheapest inside antennas will work best.
Windows computers are configured wrong from the factory for KEZI. They look for KEZI on Ch 14, but should be looking on Ch 44. Contact your Tuner Card or Computer vendor on how to modify the Channel table.
On Feb 18th, KEZI will convert from Ch 44 DTV to Ch 9 DTV. You will need to search for new channels with your TV or Converter box. Several stations will be changing to new channels for DTV.
