Eugene, Ore.--The slumping economy has many cutting back and pinching pennies where ever they can, and even some brides are trying to save money on their wedding plans. The National Wedding Report shows the average price of weddings is just over $28,000 which is down slightly from last year.

Many vendors say the economy is forcing them to look at other ways to market their product, and officials say they've noticed a difference in the way brides are spending their money.
