    Police Investigate Corvallis Burglaries

    Police are investigating a string of burglaries at some Corvallis businesses. Around 1:55 a.m. Friday, officers responded to Dock 22 at 151 NW Monroe Ave. after the restaurant's alarm went off. They say someone broke in the front door and stole the cash register and other items.

    It'll be a long cleanup for a Lebanon family, after a fire heavily damaged their home. The first call was just after 10 a.m. Thursday in the 1400 block of Hiatt Street. When crews showed up, flames were coming from the home.

    The Hawaii National Guard is order residents to clear out, as lava flowing from the Kilauea Volcano moves less than 100 yards from homes. Hawaiian officials say the flow has sped up lately and could reach homes by the next day or two.
