    A warning is going out to wheat farmers around Western Oregon, about a potential threat to their crops. Researchers at Oregon State University say they have discovered a rare fungal disease is spreading through wheat fields throughout the Willamette Valley.

    At least 200 homes and other structures are in the path of a fast-moving wildfire in Washington state. The wind-driven fire is near the town of Entiat, about three hours east of Seattle. So far it's burned 5,500 acres.

    A state judge struck down Colorado's ban on same-sex marriage, but the judge prevented gay and lesbian couples from immediately marrying by staying his decision. The judge wrote that marriage bans violate due process and equal protection guarantees under the 14th Amendment.
