ROSEBURG, Ore. -- According to the Roseburg News-Review, a long-time columnist for the newspaper was killed in a car accident on Friday.
Bill Duncan was best known for writing the "Elder Statesman" column in the Thursday edition of the News-Review. The columnist was killed on Friday after he pulled out of his driveway in Roseburg and was struck by a pick-up.
Duncan is a World War II and Korean War veteran . Duncan's final column will run on Thanksgiving.
