    Corvallis Celebrates Annual Parade

    This year's theme was "A Toy Story Christmas." The Mid-Valley Lion's Club put on the parade, and the organization asked people to bring unwrapped, new Christmas toys with them to the event. The Girl Scouts walked through the parade and picked up toys from the crowd along the route.

    Shoppers got a little musical treat on Friday at the Corvallis and Albany Fred Meyer stores. The Salvation Army had a band playing by the red kettles to kick off the holiday giving season.

    Saturday marks the 118th edition of the Civil War football game, and that means heavy traffic. The Oregon Department of Transportation expects more than 15,000 extra vehicles will be on Interstate 5 and other roads between Eugene and Corvallis on Saturday
