    Emergency crews are responding to a possible chemical explosion at Thermo Fisher Scientific in west Eugene. According to dispatchers, there are possibly two patients. We will update you on this developing story as more information becomes available.

    Troopers say the crash happened around 3 a.m. A commercial truck, transporting a 70,000 pound condenser, was traveling downhill when the rear car started to swerve and lost control. The vehicle and load rolled onto its side.

    It will soon be easier to bike between Corvallis and Albany, thanks to a collaboration project among the two cities and Benton County. Through Connect Oregon, the state is giving the project a $2 million grant to fund part of the bike path, giving cyclists a safer way to commute.

    The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says the first patient to be diagnosed with Ebola in the U.S. is being treated in Dallas, Texas. The CDC says the patient flew to the U.S. from the West African nation of Liberia on Sept. 19 and began to have symptoms 'four or five days later.'
