    Council Strikes Down Marijuana Sales Tax

    The Eugene City Council will not pursue a marijuana sales tax as part of Measure 91. The council struck down a motion to pursue the issue further at Monday night's public hearing. It didn't take long to strike down the motion on a marijuana tax.

    Fire crews are trying to find the cause of a fire in Roseburg that left one person dead. Douglas County fire crews found the front half of a mobile home engulfed in flames. One resident and a number of pets died.
