Eugene Woman Arrested After I-5 Car Crash

LANE COUNTY, Ore. -- Oregon State Police arrested a Eugene woman Tuesday after she crashed a car into a Toyota four-door early Tuesday morning.

Karleigh Allis Jones, age 21, from Eugene, was wanted on a felony warrant. At about 2:30 a.m., Jones was driving a 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse southbound on I-5 when she traveled off the right shoulder, hit a guardrail and came back across into the center median concrete barrier. The car stopped in the left southbound lane and then hit the Toyota driven by Ethan House, age 39, of Oakland, Oregon. The Toyota then hit a third vehicle.

Jones and House were taken to Cottage Grove Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

OSP arrested Jones on a felony warrant charging Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, and Failure to Appear in the First Degree. She was lodged in Lane County Jail.

Officials say speed is believed to be a contributing factor in this crash.
