EUGENE, Ore. -- Police are still investigating the murder of Ronald Langlois, who was found shot to death near the railroad tracks 2nd and Cleveland in Eugene.
Businesses in the area say the news comes as a surprise. There are a number of businesses on or near Cleveland Street including Rubenstein's Contract Carpeting and George Sutton RV. All of the managers and employees say it's a safe neighborhood.
"Given the past history, we're thinking it was just random since we've had such a good neighborhood we thought," said Rubenstein's general manager Terry Green.
Owners say with the mission and railroad tracks so near, there are a few transients who camp near the area, but they say they've never really had a problem with any of the homeless.
If you have any information about the murder, call Eugene Police.

Eugene has turned over the city to crooks and drug addicts that pose as homeless. The majority of these people have felonies and move from state to state because most states do not extradite criminals. It is highly likely that the panhandler you give money to has committed many violent crimes and you or your child could be the next victim. So do not fool yourself this is a very dangerous neighborhood and as a city we need to deal with this problem or we will all end up wallowing in this pestilence!
