EUGENE, Ore. -- We learned yesterday the University of Oregon had dismissed Sophomore Defensive End Matt Simms from the team.
That came on the heels of Simms being arrested and charged with a misdemeanor.
Police say he punched someone who he believed was invloved in the beating of his fellow teammate Rob Beard last week.
He's the second player to be kicked off the team. Garret Embry having been let go on the 8th of this month.
