Missing Veneta Man Leaves No Evidence Behind

VENETA, Ore. -- The Lane County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in finding a Veneta man reported missing.

Robert Mathews, 63, was reported missing on November 29, once his friends were concerned with not being able to contact him for an unusually long time. Mathews' dog and car were found, but no trace of Mathews.

Mathews is believed to have been at the W. 11th Walmart store on November 19th, and at the Bi-Mart Store in Veneta on November 20th.

He is described as being a white male, 5'-8" tall, 170-180 pounds and brown hair. Mathews friends say the man cannot walk for long distances.

Anyone with information is asked to call Lane County's Sheriff's Office at (541) 682-4150.
