WASHINGTON, D.C. -- President Barack Obama, who hosted the Oregon State basketball team Friday, returned the favor Saturday by traveling four blocks from the White House to watch the Beavers play Washington State at the Smith Center.
It was also part of family support to the Beavers by Obama, who is the brother-in-law of OSU's head men's basketball coach Craig Robinson.
The struggling Beavers went on to topple George Washington 64-57.
Meanwhile, back in Eugene Teondre Williams led six Oregon players in double figures with 19 points and the Ducks defeated Montana State 89-66 on Saturday night.
LeKendric Longmire and Michael Dunigan scored 15 each for Oregon, which snapped a two-game losing streak.
