Oregon crabbers and seafood processors say they've agreed on a price for this year's Dungeness crab catch.
According to officials at Fisherman's Wharf in Charleston, their price on crab will be $3.39 per pound for live crab and $3.89 per pound for cooked crab. This year's "to-the-boat" price for crab is $1.75 per pound.
The Oregon Department of Agriculture says the price could be ratified as soon as Friday, which means the season can begin as scheduled on December 1.
Officials say, weather permitting, fresh crab may start showing up at seafood counters by next Thursday.
