EUGENE, Ore. -- Drivers may have noticed more police presence Tuesday at the Delta Highway/Beltline Interchange.
Eugene Police Officers handed out 64 total citations during a targeted traffic enforcement Tuesday. Forty of those were speeding citations.
Officers targeted that area because they say it has a comparatively high frequency of crashes. They say they expect more drivers in that area during the holidays and hope that the enforcement would actively address problems in the area to make it safer for travelers.
