Springfield Business Owner Sentenced to 12 Years in Prison

EUGENE, Ore. -- It was a day of sentencing and regret for a former owner of a Springfield shoe repair shop. Timothy McKeegan, 50, was sentenced to 12-and-a-half years in prison on Monday, after pleading guilty to sexually abusing three young girls.

The youngest of McKeegan's victims will be 18 when the sentence is completed. McKeegan stated in court that he was sorry and ashamed of his actions. He also apologized to the victims' families.

McKeegan will be on probation for 10 years after his release, and he must register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
