Bullying Numbers Released for Eugene 4J Schools

EUGENE, Ore. -- The results are out Tuesday from the survey designed to assess harassment and bullying in Eugene's 4J School District.

The district's pilot study asked 24 questions of more than 1,500 students in both middle and high school. Most of the answers from the 4J students seemed to indicate that they feel safe and respected. However, there were some findings which pointed out that there is still room for improvement.

Bullying

That is not enough surveys in my opinion. My son was constantly harassed in middle and high school . They did NOTHING even after I would continuously contact the vice and principal. My son had to endure permanent marker slander being placed on the school walls, a petition being passed around asking other students if they thought he was a "fag" and being hit in hit private areas. It continued in high school, not only at school but online and at my home as well with them coming onto my property and vandalizing it. They don't do enough, and if the person(s) harassing your child is an athlete, most likely a football player, then nothing will be done.
