Neighbors Reschedule Halloween Around Duck Game

By Dan Corcoran

EUGENE, Ore. -- A Eugene neighborhood has re-scheduled Halloween in order to avoid missing Oregon's big match-up with USC, which falls Halloween night.

Neighbors in a four block area behind Oakway Center in Eugene say they couldn't choose between going to the game or enjoying Halloween festivities.

So, they've rescheduled their Halloween for Friday. About 50 households in the Oakway, Oakmont and Bedford Way neighborhood have already signed on. The response to moving Halloween has been great.

Residents in this neighborhood only who want to participate, simply hang this flier on their front door to let trick-or-treaters know to come by.

Most of the neighbors participating have tickets to tomorrow night's game at Autzen.
