Homeless Man Sues Oregon State Fraternity

CORVALLIS, Ore. -- A homeless man in Corvallis is suing an Oregon State University fraternity for $380,000.

Dennis Sanderson was shot in the thigh with a 22-caliber rifle in 2007 behind the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity house.

He says he was just collecting returnable cans and bottles behind the house. Fraternity member Josh Grimes pulled the trigger. He was sentenced to five months in jail after pleading guilty. However, Sanderson says he wants compensation for his medical bill.

Sanderson's lawsuit was filed against Grimes and the fraternity. The case is now in court. There's no word on when a ruling will come down.
