    Man Arrested for Attempted ATM Robbery

    Police arrested a Corvallis man who they say attempted to rob someone at an ATM. They say at about 4:45 a.m. on Wednesday, 38-year-old Kevin Steinberger approached someone at the ATM at Bank of America on SW Third Street and asked for money.

    The explosion happened at Thermo Fisher Scientific. It released two chemicals--methyl iodide and picoline. Both are non-toxic, but two people were exposed to the chemicals. So far one of them has been taken to the hospital. No word on the extent of their injuries.

    The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says the first patient to be diagnosed with Ebola in the U.S. is being treated in Dallas, Texas. The CDC says the patient flew to the U.S. from the West African nation of Liberia on Sept. 19 and began to have symptoms 'four or five days later.'
