Observing Breast Cancer Awareness Month

First Lady Michelle Obama made an address at the White House on Friday, making the case for the administration's proposed changes to the health care reform bill by discussing breast cancer.

A new Department of Health and Human Services report found that in 45 states, insurance companies can charge more or deny coverage to people with pre-existing conditions, including breast cancer. The report says 1 in 10 cancer patients reported they can't get insurance due to the illness.

The White House will get the word out on breast cancer awareness starting Friday. They will hang pink robbons on the columns along the front door through the weekend.
