EUGENE, Ore. -- With Halloween just more than a week away, you've probably taken your kids to get their pumpkins. But not all kids have that kind of opportunity.
So Thursday, the owner of a local limo service volunteered his time, his party bus and his fuel to take a load of foster kids out to a local pumpkin patch.
"I'm putting out the plea to other business owners: don't wait for the charities to come to you, go to them. Let's make this a great holiday season through 2010," said Jeff Alexander, owner of Alexander Limousine. He does several of these kinds of trips each year.
Next week, he's taking a group of foster kids trick-or-treating. A little further into the holiday season, he'll take them to look at Christmas lights.
