Crimestoppers: Aaron Steele Arrested

By Holly Menino

Springfield police are looking for 32-year-old Aaron Steele, a man with an extensive criminal history, currently wanted on a sex abuse charge.

Detectives say a close friend let Steele stay in his home in May 2008, but while there he had sexually abused his friend's underage daughter. Steele was arrested in June of that year after a Crimestoppers report. But before they could charge him, he was released from the Lane County Jail due to a lack of jail beds. Police continue their search.

If you know where Steele is, call the Crimestoppers line at 1-800-3-DETECT. You could earn up to a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
