Talk Back: LeGarrette Blount's Suspension

Oregon running back LeGarrette Blount has been suspended for the remainder of the season as a result of his actions at the end of the season opener against Boise State. We've opened up the phone lines to hear what you think of Blount's actions and his punishment.

blount

Chip Kelly did the right thing with his suspension but with helping him becoming a better person I think is great but being Oregon is still giving him a education it would nice mr.blount to give back to the community by talking to local high school football player and teaching them what not to do. Learn from my mistake and like him to address the fans on the first home game and give a apology to the fans, teammate, alumni, and community @ autzen I think that would great start
Thanks
Bill

Chip Kelly has actually

Chip Kelly has actually earned a bit of respect from me by considering reinstating Blount. I have coached for 30 years and felt the full season suspension was too much. However, Kelly kept him in school rather than "throw him away" for a moment of bad judgement. I remember a young Aaron Brooks who took a shot at Applebee during a competition and he served his suspension, learned from it, and is now, again, a "favorite son" of Oregon as a successful pro basketball player. Let's remember these are only kids, no matter what some so-called "Duck fans" say. I am very impressed that Chip Kelly and the Oregon football team are rallying behind one of our "kids"! GO DUCKS
