E-Cycling Program off to a Good Start

By Aaron Ofseyer

Eugene, Ore. -- Laptops, televisions, computers and monitors are still showing up at recycling centers in Oregon thanks to the state's e-cycling program. Since the beginning of the year, the program has collected almost 10 million pounds of electronics for recycling, greatly exceeding projections. Phase two of the program begins January 1, 2010, when it becomes illegal for Oregonians to dump certain electronics.
