Corvallis Business Capitalizes on the Green Market

By Holly Menino

Corvallis, Ore. -- Whether you are a consumer or a business owner or both, the green market is heating up.  A new store in Corvallis is trying to capitalize on that green initiative.

Chris Vitello and his business partner Paul Nash started Ecnow Tech about a year ago.  Vitello is encouraging people to use sustainable products that can be made into compost versus filling up the landfill.

While Vitello does want customers to buy the products he sells, he says right now it's about education, teaching people how to live green.  He expects to create 20 to 30 tons of compost this year alone, just with his compostable products, all that would've gone into the landfill.
