Eugene, Ore. -- Construction plans call for the demolition of a mixed use building on Orchard Street behind the Market Of Choice grocery store. In it's place crews will build a 60,000 square feet, five story apartment building, with 140 bedrooms throughout 40 units. The owner of Vik Construction, Greg Vik, says there's a need for more student housing near the University of Oregon campus.
