Thieves Steal Christmas Charity

People with Catholic Community Services of Lane County say someone stole Christmas gift bags for dozens of local families. They say just about all of the gift bags for about forty families were stolen.

The folks with Catholic Community Services say earlier this week, someone broke into one of the lower level offices, throwing a rock through the window. nothing was stolen then, but overnight Wednesday night, someone broke in again and took all but two of the gift bags.

There is time to help. You can donate toys and children's clothing. But with little time left, they say the best way to help is with a cash donation. You can drop off donations at 1025 g street weekdays from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. If you'd like to mail a donation, call them at 345-3628.
