EUGENE, Ore. --City councilors asked to hear from Eugene's skateboarding community at Monday night's meeting about the fate of a proposed skate park. Dozens of skateboarders showed up at City Hall to show their support for the project. Councilors already pledged $292,000 to build a skate park under the Washington-Jefferson bridge. Now the group "Skaters for Eugene Skate Parks" has to raise the rest of the money for the project.
