Concealed handgun permits should not be open to the public.
Conceal handgun permits should be confidential
It is asinine to allow the general public, and especially criminals to find out who and where the holders of concealed handguns are located. This is simply asking for trouble. If the advocates for public records access were truly genuine in their beliefs they would also want public health records of AIDS carriers, and other dangerous disease carriers to be made public.

I don't care about the names of the peope who have gone through the trouble of meeting the requirements necessary to get a concealed carry permit. The names of those who carry and use weapons illegally concern me very much.
Don't be hypocritical
If the advocates of this dangerous move to make the owner and location of concealed handgun permits public, then I submit that they should also be pursuing a measure to make public the Public Health Records of all AIDS carriers, STD carriers, and the carriers of other transmittable diseases. They are simply being disingenuous in their efforts to target those wishing to protect themselves with a weapon.
