Bacterial Disease Infecting Oregon Horses

Corvallis, Ore.-- Veterinarians are reporting an outbreak in Oregon horses of a bacterial disease called Pigeon Fever.

 

The bacteria's more commonly diagnosed in horses living in dryer parts of the country. Vets say they don't know exactly how it got to Oregon and what's causing it.
