ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The Douglas County Hazmat team held a drill on Thursday to practice removing oil or gasoline from local rivers. The team used a plastic boom to create a dam across the river that would trap any hazardous materials floating in the water. The team says protecting the environment is one of its top priorities.
