SPRINGFIELD, Ore.-- Springfield Police say they arrested two men in connection with a shooting on Wednesday that left 35-year-old Wendy Whitaker dead. Officers arrested 27 year-old Ronald Smith on Wednesday. On Thursday morning, detectives located the second suspect, Michael Wesley, as he pulled into the driveway of a home on Hayden Bridge Road.

When officers asked Wesley to get out, they say he attempted to drive away and pinned an officer against a patrol car. Officers then opened fire on Wesley, who was able to drive a few blocks before crashing the truck into a brick wall.

Police say Wesley was treated at Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend with non-life-threatening injuries. Two officers who fired their weapons are on administrative leave during the investigation. Police say they do not have a motive for Wednesday's homicide.
