Eugene, Ore.--Some Eugene businesses are reacting to the city council's proposed ban to keep people convicted of certain crimes out of downtown. The proposed downtown ordinance is a hot topic and many downtown businesses are divided. Supports say the ordanance would help provide safety for businesses and customers.
Downtown business, Tango Center says Eugene is pretty safe compared to other cities. Greg Bryant says one of the biggest problems is young people don't have a place to go. The Eugene Chambers says that the ordinance is only a small issue to a bigger puzzle to revitialize downtown.
