HALSEY, Ore. -- Tree removal services stayed busy Monday throughout western Oregon.
Highland Tree Service responded to a home in Halsey.
A tree there came down during Sunday's storm and landed on the owner's bedroom.
The company says when destructive weather like this happens, their schedules change to take care of emergency trees.
"We see a lot of calls coming in and people scared that their house is going to get destroyed so (I) had to change the schedule, come out and give people estimates right away. You know, when a person's house is in danger, they immediately want something done because it's dangerous and they're scared," said Ben Macauley, Highland Tree Service Owner.
Macauley says it's time consuming to take care of each tree, especially when it's crushing a house.
He says if it's not done correctly, it could be dangerous to the crew and cause more damage to the property.
