EUGENE, Ore. -- Sanipac and a teamsters local union have reached a tentative agreement on a new contract for Eugene-area garbage workers.
Teamster Local 206 union officials did not release the details, saying they wanted to make sure workers had seen it. But the entire union negotiating committee is recommending approval of the proposed contract.
The teamsters represent about 130 Sanipac employees.
California-based company, Waste Connections bought Sanipac and its subsidiaries last year from members of the Eugene Pape family.
