NEAR GOLD HILL, Ore. --Police have identified the person who died in an accident on Interstate-5 near Gold Hill early Friday morning as a Santa Rosa, California man.
 
Police say the 32-year-old was killed when his van collided with the back of a commercial truck towing two trailers.
 
Investigators say the truck was traveling southbound on I-5, in the right lane, at about 20 mph when the accident occurred.
 
Two passengers were extricated from the van and taken to Rogue Valley Medical Center in Medford with critical and serious injuries.
 
OSP and the Jackson County Sheriff's Office responded along with Fire District 3, Mercy Flights and ODOT.
