EUGENE, Ore. -- Hundreds of volunteers will be helping the homeless connect with vital resources Thursday.
It's the Annual Project Homeless Connect event which offers free medical exams, dental checkups, haircuts, and more from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Lane County Fairgrounds.
More than 80 local service agencies will be on-hand to provide information on employment and housing, among others.
Last year's event served over 1,500 guests. Organizers anticipate an increase in attendance as Lane County's homeless population rises.
