Eugene, Ore.-- It was a frightening experience for some Spencer Butte hikers as they are trailed by three cougars on the way to her car Wednesday morning.
Two women trekking up the butte heard a noise and shined their flashlight into the brush and saw three different sets of eyes glaring back.
The women were able to jump into their car and out of harms way. Wildlife officials posted a sign within hours warning about the situation. For more information about what you should do if faced with a wild animal, click on Newslinks.

Really they did not say they
Really they did not say they actually saw any cougars just the eyes. Sounds like people may be getting worked up over nothing.
How do they even know that
How do they even know that they were cougars? The article says that they only had seen eyes glaring back.
