EUGENE, Ore. -- Eugene Police are still searching for a man who fired a weapon outside a downtown nightclub over the weekend.

Investigators say just after 4 a.m. Sunday, a black male fired several shots into the air outside the Blueprint Nightclub on 6th Avenue.

Police say that same man was involved in a confrontation with one of the club's security guards earlier that night. They say the suspect punched the guard, was detained by security, but he was let go before police arrived.

Employees say he returned with a weapon, but no one was hurt.
