
BEND, Ore. -- Deschutes County is getting some extra help to fund local emergency food and shelter programs.
The local board of the Emergency Food & Shelter Program awarded $177,249 to several groups to help provide additional emergency food and shelter programs in high-need areas.
The awards were distributed as follows:
Adventist Community Services/Bend - $4,000
Adventist Community Services/Redmond - $10,000
Bend's Community Center - $9,449
Bethlehem Inn - $25,000
Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Oregon - $3,600
Cascade Youth & Family Center - $10,000
Central Oregon Council on Aging (COCOA) - $5,000
Family Kitchen - $6,000
Grandma's House - $3,200
Jericho Road - $2,500
LaPine Community Kitchen - $20,000
NeighborImpact - $25,000
Salvation Army - $13,000
Saving Grace - $10,000
St. Vincent de Paul/Bend - $10,000
St. Vincent de Paul/La Pine - $10,000
St. Vincent de Paul/Redmond - $8,000
