SPRINGFIELD, Ore. -- It wasn't the way one Springfield man thought he'd wake up. After hearing what sounded like a car accident, he looked outside to see a truck parked on top of his car.

Springfield resident Riley Grannan says in the early morning hours of the weekend, he was awoken to the sounds of breaking glass and crushing metal. When he looked outside to see what was going on, he saw that a large truck had driven up on top of his car, smashing the windshield, bumper and hood.

Grannan says by the time he ran outside, the driver of the truck got away. He says he thinks the whole ordeal was done on purpose.

"You had to get up nose to nose at a certain angle to get those front wheels up there, so I don't think someone who's a little inebriated is going to be, have that much precision," he said.

Grannon says he isn't sure what will happen to his car. He's meeting with his insurance agent to figure out the loss damage of his vehicle. Grannon says he was unable to identify the plate of the suspected truck, but he describes it at an oversized pick-up, of dark colors, and possible a diesel variation.
