SPRINGFIELD, Ore. -- The city of Springfield kicks off its leaf collection program Monday. If you have some leaves laying in the yard that you want picked up, you'll need to bag those up this Monday morning.
This is the first round of Springfield's leaf pick-up program. Sanipac crews will be making rounds in the neighborhoods West of 28th Street.
If you want your leaves picked up, here's what you need to do. Put your leaves in medium sized bags, near the curb, but not in the street.
Residents are advised to bag leaves on the Monday Sani-Pac is scheduled to be in your neighborhood.
The city says having residents put leaves in bags is cost effective, alleviates flooding issues, and helps keep leaves out of the bike lanes.
Here's Springfield Leaf Pick-up Schedule:
Nov. 30 - Dec. 8, Pick-up West of 28th St.
Dec. 9 - 18, Pick-up East of 28th St.
