SPRINGFIELD, Ore.-- With Black Friday just a day and a half away, stores in Springfield are preparing to handle thousands of shoppers.
Best Buy says some people will start lining up midnight on Wednesday to get the best deals. Last year nearly 2,000 people crammed into the store within the first hour of opening. This year they have 30 extra staff members to handle the crowd. "We've actually done quite a bit more training than last year. We've had a couple dry runs at handling a lot of customer interactions at the same time," says Assistant Manager, Jason Meheski.
Electronics will be a big hit this year. Store managers expect HD T.Vs, lap top computers and video game consoles to fly off the shelves.
