CORVALLIS, Ore.-- A group of University of Oregon football fans kicked off rival week by storming through the Oregon State University campus, led by a Duck fan dressed as the grim reaper.
The duck display was not what most OSU students and football fans were expecting to see on campus when the group of Duck fans, armed in yellow and green shirts, chanted their teams anthem all the way to Reser Stadium. One of the fans dressed up as a yellow and green grim reaper to relay their message that Autzen Stadium is where teams go to rest in peace.
The group says they were not trying to cause any trouble by showing up in Corvallis and marching through campus. They say it's all in fun and hope Beaver football fans can enjoy the rivalry.
Some Beaver Believers did not mind the Oregon Duck fans and understand it's all apart of the excitement leading up to the Civil War match up. Others say the yellow and green showing was disrespectful and that Duck fans may be a little too confident in their team.
The group of Duck fans say their not trying to get Beaver Nation angry, but are just anxious about the Civil War game this year, especially with the Rose Bowl at stake. The Oregon fans that came to Corvallis say they'll be anticipating a fun response from Beaver Believers in the coming days.
