By Jeff Skrzypek

ALBANY, Ore. -- Operation Homefront, which lies just inside the west end of Heritage Mall in Albany, says it's standing by and doors are open to help anyone who may be worried that one of their friends or family members may be involved in Thursday's tragedy at Fort Hood.

Army officials say they would not confirm whether or not any of the soldiers that were affected by the Fort Hood incident had any ties to Oregon. They say they will not be releasing the names or where the victims were from until family member are notified.

Officials with Operation home Front say they don't have any way of getting any information on the identities of the 11 soldiers who were killed or the 31 wounded in the shooting. It's unknown whether or not anyone involved actually has ties to Oregon. But those working at Operation Homefront say they're here to support the community, and that if you do have a concern, you are welcome to come by and talk to them.
